Segments

These are pictures and descriptions of some segments are possible to earn as a Cub Scout. Most of these segments are from the Mount Baker Council.

America's Heritage
Do three of the four projects between Memorial Day and Labor Day
  • Participate with den or pack in a community patriotic parade
  • Display the flag at home or where boy is staying on at least 3 of the following days: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day.
  • With den or pack or as an individual in uniform, visit a historic site or monument and, as a group or with parents, discuss its significance.
  • With your unit, participate in special Summertime Heritage where unit leaders help interpret American heritages and their importance to American citizens.
Bicycle Rodeo
For Scouts who participate in a bike rodeo as a pack activity using the Cub Scout or police / insurance Bicycle safety program.
Blue and Gold
For participating in the pack's Blue and gole Banquet, usually held in February.
Boy's Life
Available for each year a boy or his family subscribes to Boys Life Magazine.
Camporee
This segment was given out during the 2003 Camp-O-Rama put on by the Klahaya District.
Camp Parsons
This is a Chief Seattle Council camp.
Community Service
Available to Scouts participating in a unit community service project as determined by the unit.
Conservation
Participate in a conservation project.
Cub Detective Day Camp 2003
Earned by attending the Cub Detective Summer Day Camp in 2003.
Cub Scout Day Camp
Earned by attending the Summer Day Camp program.
Cub Scout Olympics
For Cubs who have participated in a Cub Olympics.
Cub Scout Resident Camp
For boys who have attended a Cub Scout Resident Camp as Cub or Webelos Scouts
Cub Scout Welcome
Presented to a new recruit when he is registered with the unit or for a boy entering the Council for the first time. (only one worn)
Expo-O-Rama
Available to any Scout who participates in an Expo or Scout-O-Rama.
Food Drive / Good Turn
Available to Scouts participating in the annual Scouting for food drive.
Funfest
Earned by participating in the Council Fun Fest held in June at Frog Mountian (a.k.a. Fire Mountain).
Kite Derby
Earned by the Cubs making and entering a homemade kite in a kite derby.
Monte Cristo Segment
This is a special segment that is made available by Troop 43 of Lake Stevens, Washington.

Parade and Flag Ceremonies
Peace Arch Hands Across the Border
Available to Scouts participating in the yearly Peace Arch Celebration.

Pinewood Derby
Earned by Cub Scouts making and entering a car in a Pinewood Derby.
Popcorn Sales
Earned by selling popcorn in the Council's Annual Fall fundraiser.

Raingutter Regatta
Earned by Cub Scouts making and entering a sail boat in a Regatta.
Recruiting
Available to Scouts who participate in their unit's fall or spring roundup, meeting their roundup goals in recruiting new boys or a Scout who recruits a new boy.
Recycling
Participation in den, pack, or public sponsored recycling program.
Science Center
Earned by attending the Campout at the Pacific Science Center
Scout Sunday or Scout Sabbath
Participate or satisfy a Scout Anniversary Week religious observation either at your place of worship or sponsored service. Normally held in February.
Space Derby
Earned by Cub Scouts making and entering a rocket in a Space Derby.
Stampeed
Summer Fun
Participation in at least 2 pack and 2 den out door activities between June 1 and August 31. (Not the same as the National Summertime Award.)
Tiger Graduate
For boys who have graduated from the Tiger Cub Program.
Tree of Giving
Participate in the annual Tree of Giving program, either by adopting a nursing home or wrapping gifts at the mall.
